All Came As One

In late spring of 2013, 5 young college students got together to make a temporary band for a Fellowship of Christian Athletes retreat. After practicing and putting together a few songs we came to find out that the event had been canceled. We thought we had wasted our time but God had other plans. From there, we decided to form a band and play a couple of shows. During that summer we learned more and more songs, and every time we learned a new one, we grew closer as a band and to God. Trey Tate, came to use with a band name, All Came As One, and at first, we didn’t really feel it, and then we found a bible verse that proved that, that should be our name. The verse is 1 Corinthians 12:12, “The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.” We all come from so many different backgrounds, and music styles. Sometimes we butt heads on how a song should be played or which song we should do but we usually come to an agreement because that’s what we do. We all come together as one body. So our first gig was at The Battleground in Hillsville, VA. After that show, the rest was history. We started playing more and more shows. Sometimes it became overwhelming with our normal lives, and band lives. From school, work, social lives, and the band itself, it became hard to try to fit everything into a balanced schedule. But God always provides for us. 2 years later, we are still playing where The Lord takes us, and show no signs of slowing down. We have been blessed to open for major artists like Dan Bremnes, The NeverClaim, Jason Crabb, and Building 429. Our fan base is so great as well. They are there for us all the time and love to come and worship with us, and that is just awesome! There have been so many new faces and friends that we have met and God has blessed us with new lifelong friendships. Right now the road is unclear where we may end up but we are excited for our future, and what God has in store for us as musicians and individuals.
