History of Past Festivals

2017

Our 3rd year festival came with the addition of a third stage for music, which allowed music to be goin almost non-stop through the festival and we returned to the weekend format opening the gates on Friday for camping and fun, having a full day of activity on Saturday and wrapping up the festival with church service on Sunday morning.

This year our headlining artist was Jordan Feliz, and we welcomed back up-and-coming Brightwork (performed 2015) back to our main stage to open for him.

We continued to offer merchandise vendors the opportunity to set up and asked food trucks to return to supply yummy festival food.  The Taco Trolley was a big hit this year and many also enjoy Galax Smokehouse.

The other overwhelmingly popular addition this year was a Teen Tent, hosted with partnering ministry Straight Street NRV.  Tweens and Teens had lots of things to do within the Straight Street tent and a place to just hangout.

2016

Our 2nd year festival had returning festival goers who had spread the word to their friends.  Although a shortened festival this year, the gates didn’t open until noon on Saturday.  Again, we offered music from local and regional artists, and asked JJ Weeks to return to play along with Grammy nominated Building 429.  We again offered merchandise vendors the opportunity to set up and asked food trucks to return to supply yummy festival food.  We were appreciative our wonderful sponsors:  Liberty University (who gave away a $16,500 scholarship, a GoPro camera and autographed guitar!), The Journey FM, Compassion International, Blue Ridge Community Church, Meade Tractors, Victory Restoration Church, New Harvest Ministries, Oak Haven Lodge, Rakestraw Lawncare, Wagner Shells, Inc., Allstate Insurance, and Vickie’s Tax Service.

2015

Replenish Festival 2015 was our inaugural year of watching the vision become reality.  A non-profit was formed with dedicated board members and volunteers that worked tirelessly to bring the New River Valley a fun, family-oriented, faith-based festival.  We invited JJ Weeks Band to come to perform as well as Eddie James Ministries.  We were appreciative of our first year sponsors:  Compassion International, Journey FM, Christ Fellowship, Emmanuel College, Marshall’s Sandblasting & Painting, Inc., Oak Haven Lodge, Pebble Brook Landscaping, and Vickie’s Tax Service.  Our 3-day festival started on Friday evening with local and regional music and offered overnight camping through the weekend.  Saturday offered bounce houses for the kids, more local and regional music and then headline acts to play that evening.  Sunday morning offered morning worship and an opportunity for baptism afterward.  We estimated 1500 in attendance.
